Christmas Vacation

We are back from our vacation in Virginia with our family. We stayed at Jose's brother's house. The kids are all around the same age so the had a blast. Jose and I went to the Washington D.C. temple.

We went to the visitors center twice and one of the nights we had the opportunity to listen to Marvin Goldstein play the piano. It was a great concert. The drive was long but I came up with several activities to do in the car. We all caught up with each other. On Christmas Day, my mom, sister, sister-in-law, niece and nephew, drove down from Connecticut and spent the night with us. It was fun to reminisce. We went to D.C. to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and went to the White House to see the Christmas trees. We had an opportunity to take a photo with Santa. It did not snow, but the memories are great. Families are what's important and we enjoyed every second with them.

It sounds like you guys had a great time! I can't wait for our kids to be a little bigger so we can take them up there to the museum and the temple. I've always loved the Washington, DC Temple and it was the one our stake went to when I was old enough to do baptisms. Once Atlanta was built, we switched to that one, but DC is still one of my favorites!
